Hades was the king of dead in ancient Greek stories. Hades <<HAY deez >> was older brother of Zeus, the king of gods. The ancient Greeks believed that the kingdom of Hades was under the Earth. Hades was meant for the souls of people who were not good enough to go to Elysium << ih LIHZ ee uhm >>.
Atlas was a god in ancient Greek mythology .Atlas belonged to a group called the
titans.The titans fought all the gods that lived up on Mount Olympus.Atlas got a
job to hold up the earth on his shoulders forever.They named a mountain range
after Atlas in northwestern Africa
Hera was the Greek goddess of life and the protector of marriage and childbirth. She was the daughter of Cronos and Rhea.She was the mother of the gods Ares and Hephaesus.She was also the sister and wife of Zeus.
Hera argued with Zeus often but Hera mostly convinced Zeus to her ideas.Zeus,his mistress and his children,Hercules and Dionysus where all affected. A story of Hera says that she sent the many eyed beast,Argus to spy on Zeus and his mistress, Io.
Zeus had sent Hermes to kill Argus. Hermes had turns Argus into Hera’s special bird,the peacock.
Zeus was the King of the gods.
He was the sky and weather god Zeus was a strong man who had a long beard. He often holds a thunder bolt.
Zeus lived in a palace on mount Olympus.
He married his sister Hera.
He had many children.
He was father to the god Apollo.
And the human hero Hercules.
The ancient Roman god Jupiter had the same powers as Zeus.
Aphrodite was the goddess of love and beauty. She had many roles. Aphrodite was also called Urania queen of heaven. She was also worshipped as Pandemos. Some people thought she was goddess of the sea, travel and war. Aphrodite was said to have been the daughter of Dione and Zeus, the king of the gods. Aphrodite was mostly said to be the goddess of love. Many people say that she helps people fall in love. She was also the mother of Eros, the god of love. The Romans called their god of love, Venus. A planet in our solar system is also called Venus.
Artemis was the goddess of hunting
Artemis is the name of the goddess of hunting and wild animals.
Artemis showed her as a beautiful young huntress carrying a bow and a quiver
of arrows often with a deer at her side. She was the goddess of childbirth.

Artemis had a temple.The story was very interesting.
Athena was the god of warfare,wisdom and arts and crafts.She was a tall woman with a shield and a helmet.Athena was born fully grown from Zeus’s head.Zeus was king of the gods. Athena was skilled at weaving and making cloth..In one story a women called Arachne challenged Athena to a weaving contest .After the contest Athena turned Arachne into a spider. 
Zeus was the king of the gods.He was the most powerful god on Mount Olympus.it,s said that he lived on Mount Olympus with eleven other gods in Greece.Zeus was said to be the god of the sky and the weather,he was known to be the god of lightning and rain.Sometimes.Zeus is pictured with a long beard and carrying a sceptre and sometimes holding a lightning bolt and is shown as an eagle a strong high-flying bird.There was one person who was said to have the same amount of power as Zeus,this person was called Jupiter and Jupiter was the Roman god.He was also named after the largest planet in the solar system.Zeus married his sister Hera and had many children including the god Apollo and the Greek hero Heracles, the Romans called him Hercules.Zeus had a big job to do as the king of the gods.He had to do a lot of jobs on Mount Olympus,but he was a very interesting god.
Dionysus was the ancient Greek god of wine.
Dionysus was also an ancient Roman god, but the Romans called him Bacchus.
Dionysus father was Zeus, king of the gods.
Dionysus married Ariadne, the daughter of king Minos of Crete.
Dionysus with bad behaviour caused by drinking too much wine.
Dionysus taught people how to grow better crops and how to make wine.
Hercules was a great hero.
The Greeks call him Heracles, but Hercules is the name used by Romans.
Hercules was the son of the princess Alcmene.
Princess Alcmene was a human being and Zeus was the king of the gods.
But Zeus was not married to Alcmene.
His wife was Hera, queen of the gods.
Hera hated Hercules because he was not her own son.
Because of Hera’s tricks, Hercules was forced to perform 12 labors or very difficult jobs.
Many of these labors included fighting beast or monster.
Hades was the god of the dead and the urderworld which the Greeks believed you went to when you died.
Hades was the name of a god and his name should be prounounced Hay deez.

found out about things from thousands of years ago.

Apollo was the king of the sun/music/archery/healing/poetry/telling the future and traveling by sea.Apollo was a god in Greek mythology.the Greeks believed that Apollo every morning went up to drag the sun across the sky and at night time he went back up to drag the sun back across the sky. Zeus is Apollos father. Using the name Phoebus Apollo/he became the king of light. The Romans also worshiped him. In the 1960s there were rockets named after Apollo such as Apollo 11 and Apollo 12.
